Neuca Group is implementing a project co-financed under the European Funds project “Development of a Process Innovation in the Form of a System Designed for Quality Control Processes Related to the Distribution of Pharmaceuticals and Other Medical Devices”
The Project is going to result in the development of an innovative system designed for quality control processes related to the distribution of pharmaceuticals and other medical devices supplied to pharmacies and hospitals as well as to individual customers in the future.
The innovation created as a result of the research and development through the use of intelligent product identification systems will make it possible to compare the contents of a single container of goods to an order made by a specific customer. Through the development of dedicated software using proprietary algorithms, the technology will enable the result to be stored in a database, appropriate intervention to be taken (e.g. withdrawal of a container with identified shortages or damage to goods and, in the case of surpluses, recovery of surplus products) and positive verified products to be arranged in a container.
The solution developed by the Applicant will be characterised by a number of significant advantages and features unavailable in devices available on the industrial automation market, and at the same time desired by recipients, e.g. enabling optimisation of the device’s operation or translating into economic benefits related to the minimisation of costs related to previous mistakes concerning incorrect fulfilment of orders to pharmacy outlets or hospitals.
5 research tasks are planned in order to achieve the assumed results of the Project – 1 stage of industrial research and 4 stages of development work. Within 3 years after the end of the Project, the results of the Project will be implemented in the Company’s activities (by introducing the results of industrial research and development works or development works into the Company’s own business activities). The Project results will constitute important know-how, which will form the basis for further advanced research and development projects.
The project is co-financed under EU funding in the total amount of PLN 5,513,943.39
